The glassworks' location

The Gelsdorf glassworks are located at the Forster Straße in Weisswasser at a central location. Surely, the near train area was important at the factory's foundation. This made it possible to transport raw materials and products quickly. Conspicuous is the close position of the buildings, as remarkable in the aerial picture. The glassworks' buildings, storage halls, and the villa of director Gelsdorf are situated very close to each other.
